New Year's Eve is an upcoming ensemble romantic comedy film directed by Garry Marshall. It was originally intended as the sequel to the 2010 film Valentine's Day, but on December 8, 2010 it was revealed that the film would not be a sequel to Valentine's Day and that Jessica Biel, Ashton Kutcher and Héctor Elizondo would play different characters. The film is scheduled for release on December 9, 2011 in North America by Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema. The film stars Jessica Biel, Ashton Kutcher, Robert De Niro, Héctor Elizondo, Katherine Heigl, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Hilary Swank, Michelle Pfeiffer, Zac Efron, Sofia Vergara, Halle Berry, Sarah Jessica Parker, Josh Duhamel, Til Schweiger, Ryan Seacrest, Jon Bon Jovi, Ludacris, Seth Meyers and Greg Kinnear.

Plot 

The lives of several couples and singles in New York intertwine over the course of New Year's Eve.
